Spring is in the Air and Easter is Just Around the Corner

The days are getting longer, the weather’s a bit milder. Could that be spring? Soon we’ll be flipping pancakes and thinking about where to roll our eggs at Easter.

According to the Times newspaper “spring is the new summer” with more and more people booking their main holiday over the Easter and spring breaks to make their money stretch a little further. Overseas trips are the perennial favourite, but staycations and camping trips are soaring in popularity as people discover all the wonders of the natural world on their doorstep.

Easter is a particularly lovely time of year to go camping. We’ve well and truly said goodbye to the winter gloom and saying hello to all the life, colour and sunnier days of the spring. It’s time to get out there and start loving the wonders of nature all over again.

NOW IS THE TIME TO START PLANNING

Easter is early April this year, so while the evenings will be bright, they can still be a bit cold. And the showers synonymous with this month could dampen the spirits if you’re not prepared.

Here are a few things to think about when organising your Easter/spring getaway:

• Plan everything as early as you can – Easter is always popular, and this year maybe even more so. Figure out where you want to go on your road trip and reserve your site(s) before things start to fill up. If you’re planning to hire a campervan book it early so that you don’t miss out.
