The Explore 4 Hybrid is based on hybrid version of the ever popular VW Transporter, which is no longer than a family estate car. This allows you to use it as an everyday vehicle, but with a fully equipped camper in the rear. Ideal for a day trip to the coast or an extended multi-stop tour. The van allows you to do all your local journeys on the electric motor, while enjoying the flexibility of longer journeys with great fuel economy.

Large Living Area

It’s surprising how big these vans feel inside with this layout. The daytime/lounge set up gives you plenty of space for four people to socialise and eat in comfort. The front captain seats swivel round with no effort to create a large, comfortable inside space. All the storage and facilities are still accessible, and you’ll feel like you’re in a much larger van.

Large Double Bed

The RIB Altair bed, at over 6ft long, provides a very comfortable sleeping experience. The rear passenger seat converts to a bed within 20 seconds, and the storage is not compromised in any way. The bed has a recline function so you can be sat up watching TV inside or open the rear doors and watch the sun go down.

Fully Off Grid

You’ll feel like you’ve brought your home with you in this fully off grid camper. Using power from the onboard hybrid battery, you never have to worry about your power needs for longer trips. You have the benefit of 240v power for cooking, heating and larger appliances, 12v for lighting, charging points and fridge, and supplemented by gas heating for longer trips.

Spacious Room In the Pop Top

The pop-top roof is opened in seconds to reveal the large sleeping area on a fully sprung Froli bed platform with mattress on top. The sleeping area is bright and airy, and has LED lighting with USB points for charging phones and tablets. The roof mechanism itself is fully tested by the DVSA and conforms to all NCC guidelines.

Plenty of Storage

The Explore 4 has been carefully designed with storage in mind. Having the gas and water tanks underneath the van means that every bit of internal space can be used for storing all your luggage and essentials. The spaces underneath the bed at the front and the rear are preserved even when the bed is set up at night. Almost every other part of the van is used for cupboards, drawers and shelving so you’re never short of space.
